Desmalgada – Celebrating the return from the alpine pasture

On Sunday, 20 September, the traditional Desmalgada from Malga Tovre returns to Molveno. From 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, the village square will host a farmers’ market featuring local, zero-kilometre products. At 11.00 a.m., cows and other animals decorated with flowers will parade through the village centre to Piazza della Chiesa. At 12.00 noon, a traditional Trentino lunch of polenta, beef stew and beans will be served by the Gruppo Giovani di Molveno. A raffle will also be held, with a whole wheel of cheese produced at the alpine farm as the prize.
